2. Platform Description

Parent School is a marketplace connecting parenting specialists with parents seeking expert guidance. We provide the platform but do not create or guarantee the content provided by specialists.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use this platform
  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • You must not share your account credentials

3.2 Account Types

  • Users: Can browse, purchase, and access guides
  • Specialists: Can create and sell guides (requires approval)
  • Admins: Platform administrators

4. User Obligations

You agree to:

  • Use the platform in compliance with all applicable laws
  • Not share purchased content without authorization
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer or hack the platform
  • Not use the platform for any fraudulent or illegal purposes
  • Not harass, abuse, or harm other users or specialists
  • Not upload malicious content or spam

5. Purchases and Payments

5.1 Guide Purchases

  • All purchases are processed through Stripe
  • Prices are displayed in EUR and include applicable VAT
  • Payment is required before accessing purchased content
  • You receive 30 days access to purchased guides from the date of purchase
  • After the access period expires, you may repurchase the guide if you wish to continue accessing the content
  • Legacy purchases made before this policy change retain lifetime access

7. Content Ownership and Licensing

7.1 Specialist Content

  • Specialists retain ownership of their content
  • Specialists grant us a license to display and distribute their content
  • Users receive a personal, non-transferable license to access purchased content

7.2 Platform Content

All platform design, features, and branding are owned by Parent School and protected by intellectual property laws.

8. Prohibited Content

The following content is prohibited:

  • Medical advice requiring professional diagnosis
  • Harmful, dangerous, or illegal advice
  • Copyrighted material without permission
  • Misleading or false information
  • Hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory content

9. Platform Role and Disclaimers

9.1 Platform as Intermediary

Parent School acts as an intermediary marketplace. We:

  • Do not create or endorse specialist content
  • Do not guarantee the accuracy of specialist advice
  • Are not responsible for specialist-user interactions
  • Reserve the right to remove content that violates our policies

9.2 No Professional Advice

Content on Parent School is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional medical, legal, or psychological advice. Always consult qualified professionals for specific concerns.

9.3 No Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parent School shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
  • Damages resulting from specialist content or advice
  • Service interruptions or technical issues

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Parent School harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the platform or violation of these terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may close your account at any time. Purchased content access will be retained unless prohibited by law.

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Latvia and the European Union.

13.2 Dispute Process

  • First, contact us to resolve issues informally
  • If unresolved, disputes will be handled through arbitration or courts in Latvia
  • EU consumers may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
